Ukraine's parliament voted to dismiss Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, resulting in the resignation of the entire government, according to UNIAN news agency, as reported by infohub.kz.
On July 12, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a cabinet reshuffle and said Svyrydenko would be offered a new position. He stated that this would change Ukraine's political strategy, with each foreign policy priority overseen by a specific experienced individual capable of delivering results expected by the Ukrainian people.
On July 13, Svyrydenko's resignation request was submitted to parliament. A total of 258 out of 450 deputies voted in favor.
According to sources from Ukrainska Pravda, Svyrydenko declined an offer to become Ukraine's ambassador to the United States after stepping down as prime minister.
Sources close to the former prime minister said she has not yet decided on her future plans after her tenure in the cabinet.
