The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has released updated rankings following the latest event in Shanghai. In the main event of the evening, Song Yadong defeated Umar Nurmagomedov, leading to reshuffling in the bantamweight division (up to 61.2 kg).
According to media rankings, Nurmagomedov fell from third to fourth place. Yadong, in turn, rose from sixth to third, surpassing Americans Mario Bautista and Cory Sandhagen.
In the rankings compiled using artificial intelligence, the Russian also lost ground, moving from second to fifth. The Chinese fighter climbed three spots to become the division's number three.
Kazakhstani fighter Asu Almabaev retained seventh place in the media rankings of the flyweight division (up to 56.7 kg). China's Su Mudaerji made his debut in the rankings, taking the 13th spot. At the Shanghai event, he defeated American Alex Perez, who dropped from 11th to 15th.
