Unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in Aktobe and Atyrau on July 22, infohub.kz reports, citing Kazhydromet.

According to weather forecasters, adverse meteorological conditions (AMC) are forecast in Aktobe during the day and in Atyrau at night.

As experts explained, unfavorable weather conditions occur when a combination of calm winds, light breeze, fog, and temperature inversion traps pollutants near the ground, leading to poor air quality.

Forecasters warn that during AMC periods, the risk of adverse health effects from polluted air increases, particularly for people with chronic diseases.

Air pollution levels are also influenced by wind speed, humidity, temperature, and precipitation.

Residents are advised to limit time outdoors, especially near roads and other pollution sources. Children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions, as well as allergy sufferers, should avoid prolonged walks and carry necessary medications.

Experts recommend moving outdoor physical activities indoors temporarily.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kazakhstan’s major cities are expected to experience unstable weather, a sharp cold snap, heavy downpours, and thunderstorms over the next three days.
