A court in Uralsk overturned administrative fines for a man who was not driving at the time of the violations, reports infohub.kz.

According to the press service of the West Kazakhstan Regional Court, the specialized administrative court received a complaint from the man regarding fines issued under Part 1 of Article 592 and Part 2 of Article 230 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The complainant stated that he had been banned from driving since 2025 and that the vehicle mentioned in the citations had been sold without proper documentation.

The court on its own initiative requested additional video and photo evidence from the police department regarding the movement of the vehicle in Uralsk. It turned out that during the period of the alleged violations, another driver was behind the wheel.

The police department was given time to identify the actual offender, which was done within the set deadlines. As a result of the court's intervention, the fines were reissued to the driver who was actually operating the vehicle. The complainant was relieved of paying 64,875 tenge.
