Kairat Almaty head coach Rafael Urazbakhtin gave an extremely brief reaction to his team's defeat to Astana in the 27th round of the Kazakhstan Premier League, infohub.kz reports.
"I won't say much. I'll say one word and go. 'Shapito.' Thank you," Urazbakhtin said at the post-match press conference.
The Almaty boss was apparently unhappy with the refereeing. One of the key moments of the match was the sending-off of Kairat midfielder Adilet Sadybekov as early as the 11th minute.
Sadybekov fouled Stanislav Basmanov near his own penalty area. Referee Denis Tevyashov initially showed the player a yellow card, but after reviewing VAR changed his decision and sent the player off. Three minutes later, Astana capitalised on their numerical advantage — Ramazan Karimov headed in a cross from Carlo Bartolec. That goal proved to be the only one of the game.
For the reigning champion of Kazakhstan, it was a second consecutive defeat — earlier, the Almaty side lost at home to Tobol 1-4.
After the 27th round matches, Ordabasy leads the KPL table with 61 points. Second-placed Kairat has 57 points. Astana sits third with 48 points.
