After the defeat to Bulgarian side Levski, Kairat Almaty head coach Rafael Urazbakhtin spoke about the team's elimination from the UEFA Champions League qualifying round, reports infohub.kz.

The specialist thanked the fans who came to support the team and, in his words, created a "great, magnificent atmosphere." "Unfortunately, we failed to delight them with a win. It's a pity, yes, we are upset. We tried. But, I think, we deserved at least one goal, given how many shots we took on goal. Unfortunately, it didn't work out," Sports.kz quotes the coach as saying.

Urazbakhtin added that the team has important matches ahead both in the championship and in European competitions, where they will fight for a place in the Europa League group stage. "We were upset, of course. But we have to move on, what can you do. This is the situation at this stage. We tried, it didn't quite work out, but in any case we have to move forward. Through such games we gain experience that, I hope, will help us in the future," the coach concluded.

Recall that the third qualifying round match against Levski took place at the Turkestan Arena and ended in a 0:1 defeat for Kairat. Thus, the Kazakh club was eliminated from the Champions League.
