The 2026 US Open tennis championships in New York, played on hard courts, have set both men's singles finalists after the semifinals concluded, according to infohub.kz.

Alexander Zverev, the world No. 2 and top seed, was the first to book his place in the title match. The German beat Russia's Karen Khachanov in three sets, two of them decided by tiebreaks. The final score was 6-3, 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (8-6).

The second final berth went to American Ben Shelton, the world No. 9. He came from behind to defeat his compatriot Frances Tiafoe 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 7-5.

Zverev has reached the US Open final for the second time in his career. This season, the German won his first Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.

Shelton is through to his first major final. His previous best result at a Grand Slam was a semifinal appearance.

The title match between Zverev and Shelton will start on September 13 at 23:00 Kazakhstan time.
