In Huntsville, Missouri, nine police officers were injured when a second-story wooden deck collapsed during an arrest at a residence. The incident occurred on July 21 and was captured on body cameras. The footage shows officers standing in a line outside an apartment door when the deck suddenly gave way, causing them to fall to the ground. No shots were fired.

According to law enforcement, the officers were attempting to arrest a 26-year-old man for failing to register as a sex offender. The Randolph County Sheriff's Department said the task force included its own deputies, as well as officers from the Moberly Police Department and the North Missouri Drug Task Force. The operation was coordinated with the U.S. Marshals Service.

Steven Lewis, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Missouri, told KMIZ television that seven officers were taken to the hospital with injuries including broken bones and other serious trauma. All were treated and released.

Abigail Meyer, a spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service, said in a statement on Wednesday that the man sought was taken into custody later that day.
