A trilateral meeting between the leaders of the United States, Russia and China could take place in November in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said, according to infohub.kz.

According to the aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, China is already preparing for a possible meeting between Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump. The event could be held on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which will take place on November 18–19 in Shenzhen.

"Our Chinese friends, the hosts of the APEC summit, will take on — or rather, are already taking on — its preparation. And if circumstances are favorable, they, our Chinese friends, will of course include this meeting in the program of events in Shenzhen. As for the substance of possible trilateral talks, some practical considerations have been put forward on our side," Ushakov said.

It was previously reported that Russia, the United States and China had allowed for the possibility of a trilateral meeting, which is expected to address the situation in Ukraine.
