With the new school year approaching, the National Center for Public Health has reminded parents to complete their children's vaccinations according to age. Special attention is given to six-year-olds who are about to enter first grade, reports infohub.kz.
The center emphasized that according to the National Immunization Schedule, at age six, vaccinations against measles, rubella, and mumps, as well as against whooping cough, diphtheria, and tetanus are administered. If any vaccination was missed or delayed, parents are advised to contact their local polyclinic. In most cases, restarting the course is not necessary—a doctor will determine the further schedule based on the doses already received. Completing the vaccination course is important for full protection against infections.
Before the start of the school year, parents are asked to check their child's vaccination passport or verify vaccination records at the polyclinic. For questions about vaccinations, the immunization schedule, or missed doses, information is available on the egu.kz portal. Additionally, specialist consultations can be obtained by calling the call center at 7701.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that the Ministry of Health reminded how many hours of sleep schoolchildren need and gave recommendations to Kazakh parents.
