Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Singapore Grand Prix, the 17th round of the 2026 Formula 1 season. The race took place on the Marina Bay street circuit, where the Dutchman started from pole position and secured his second victory of the season, according to infohub.kz.

Verstappen's previous win came at the last round in Malaysia, which hosted the rescheduled Bahrain Grand Prix. Thus, his Singapore victory was the first of his career at this track.

In addition, the Dutchman surpassed German Michael Schumacher for the most Formula 1 Grand Prix wins with a single team — 73 to 72. Schumacher drove for Ferrari. Only Briton Lewis Hamilton ranks higher in this statistic, with 84 wins for Mercedes.

Second place in the Singapore Grand Prix went to Monaco's Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. Italy's Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes completed the podium and continues to lead the overall standings, ahead of his nearest challenger by 102 points — 340 to 238 for Britain's George Russell of Mercedes.

The next Formula 1 round will take place in Austin, Texas, USA, from October 23 to 25.
