In the Abai region, another settlement has officially received the status of "Village without Alcohol." The initiative was supported by all 17 families living in the village of Ukili, Zharma district, reports the website infohub.kz.
According to the information media portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the refusal of alcohol was a conscious step by residents aimed at preventing offenses and strengthening public order. Local police inspector Darkhan Berikbolov noted that such unanimity could serve as an example for other villages in the district.
The villagers, in turn, emphasized that the decision was made unanimously for a safe and peaceful life. "Where there is unity and mutual understanding, there will always be order and stability. We will continue to strengthen the reputation of our village together and not deviate from the chosen path," they said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that the "Village without Alcohol" initiative demonstrates a high level of trust, responsibility, and respect for the law among citizens. Earlier, in the Atyrau region, the 57th settlement, the village of Toman, received the status of "sober," and in the East Kazakhstan region, another village joined the project "Sober, Law-Abiding Village."
