A photo of a driver kissing a female passenger while driving has gone viral in Kazakhstan's internet segment. The image, allegedly captured by a traffic camera, reportedly ended up in a speeding ticket, according to infohub.kz.
The photo shows the car traveling at 80 km/h on the Astana-Shchuchinsk highway, where the speed limit is 60 km/h. Social media users joked that the romantic moment could cost the couple 43,250 tenge, the fine for this violation.
The image gained particular popularity on Instagram, where the post collected around 12,000 likes. Users actively commented, discussing not only the kiss but also trying to guess who is in the photo. Comments include: "If it's not his wife, then rest in peace," "The main thing is that it's his wife," "Great photo for 20k," "I hope it's his wife, otherwise will the fine come to her?" "So cute. This photo deserves a frame," and "Now I have a new obsession."
However, the authenticity of the image remains in question. The Instagram post displays an "AI info" label, which typically indicates content created with artificial intelligence. At the same time, modern traffic cameras can take highly detailed photos of violations, so the image looks plausible.
This photo inadvertently reminds of the famous "Kiss on Times Square" — the iconic 1945 shot of a sailor kissing a nurse on the day Japan's surrender was announced. If that photo became a symbol of the end of World War II, the Kazakh "kiss" would be remembered more for the fine.
Earlier, it was reported that in the Akmola region, drivers began to be fined for stopping on the Astana-Shchuchinsk highway to take photos in blooming sunflowers. Police noted that in just a few days, 25 motorists were brought to administrative responsibility for photo sessions right on the highway.
