Football club Atyrau has officially announced the end of its cooperation with Vladimir Cheburin, who served as head coach. The Kazakh specialist recorded a video message in which he commented on his departure, reports infohub.kz.
Cheburin took charge of Atyrau in March this year. Under his leadership, the team played 19 matches in the Kazakhstan Premier League, earning 19 points and sitting in 13th place in the standings. According to the coach, the parties parted ways by mutual agreement.
"I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the management of Atyrau. Thank you for the opportunities provided! I came to a team of different people, there was a change of management. As of today, that's how it is. Thanks to the entire coaching staff and the players who have been with me for a long time," Cheburin said.
The club, in turn, thanked the 61-year-old specialist for his "work, professionalism, and contribution to the team." The name of the new head coach has not been officially announced yet. According to insiders, there is a high probability of appointing Samat Smakov, who a few days ago left his post as assistant in the coaching staff of Turkestan's Turan.
