Former world boxing champion Vladimir Klitschko has filed a petition in a U.S. court for temporary conservatorship over the estate of actress Hayden Panettiere to protect the inheritance of their shared daughter, according to infohub.kz.
As reported by People, the actress passed away in August. Her sole legal heir to all her property is their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya. The ex-boxer moved quickly to secure temporary conservatorship to safeguard finances and valuables for the child until official procedures are completed.
The urgent legal step was prompted by concerns that the deceased actress's assets could be squandered or lost before an administrator is appointed. Some designer items, accessories, and jewelry have already been temporarily removed from Panettiere's Los Angeles home during the investigation. Klitschko aims to personally protect the girl's inheritance rights and oversee all financial matters.
Panettiere and Klitschko dated for several years and got engaged in 2013, but separated five years later. After the split, their daughter went to live with her father. Despite the breakup, the former couple maintained a respectful relationship for the sake of raising their child.
