German automaker Volkswagen has begun official deliveries of cars to Kazakhstan. The first batch has been shipped from the FAW-Volkswagen production site in China, according to infohub.kz.
As reported by the press service of importer Orbis Auto, the batch includes various Volkswagen and Jetta models. This is the first delivery following the agreement between Orbis Auto and Volkswagen China.
Among the confirmed models are the Volkswagen Passat sedan and the Tayron crossover. The full lineup has not been disclosed yet; all vehicles will be officially presented during the national launch of the Volkswagen and Jetta brands in Kazakhstan, scheduled for August.
According to the company, the vehicles have been adapted to Kazakhstan's climatic and road conditions. The modifications affected powertrains, electronic systems, suspension, body and underbody protection, as well as software and multimedia systems.
The route for the first batch from the Volkswagen production site to Kazakhstan will be about 3,500 kilometers. Upon arrival, the new cars will be delivered to official dealerships and undergo pre-sale preparation.
Prices, trim levels, the full list of models, and official dealers for Volkswagen and Jetta in Kazakhstan will be announced during the national brand launch in August 2026.
Earlier it was reported that Volkswagen is relaunching in Kazakhstan with seven Chinese-made models, including Bora, Passat, Tayron, Talagon, as well as Jetta VA7, VS7, and VS8.
