European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen left a European Parliament session early after Slovak MEP Milan Uhrík leveled accusations at her, infohub.kz reports.
Uhrík himself posted a video on X showing the head of the European Commission hurriedly leaving the chamber during his speech. The MEP accompanied the post with sharp language aimed at European institutions.
According to TASS, the incident occurred at a European Parliament session where Uhrík criticized von der Leyen for continuing to send European money to Ukraine. According to the MEP, it is because of her that the European Union is on the brink of war.
“Ursula von der Leyen, who destroyed Europe, brought it to poverty, decline and to the brink of war...,” the MEP said. After those words, the head of the European Commission left the session.
