In Uralsk, a traditional wedding ritual called "tentek kade" turned into a brawl with serious consequences, leaving one guest hospitalized, according to infohub.kz.
According to the publication "My City," at a wedding in Uralsk, guests performed the "tentek kade" custom, which involves pranks, fun tasks, and a symbolic ransom to make the celebration more interesting and bring families closer.
However, one of the groom's side took the jokes too personally. When another participant continued the prank, the man lost his temper and attacked him with his fists.
As a result, the victim was rushed to the hospital. Preliminary reports indicate he suffered broken ribs and several knocked-out teeth. The exact circumstances of the conflict and the severity of the injuries are currently being determined.
The press service of the Police Department of the West Kazakhstan Region told the publication that no statements or appeals regarding this incident have been received by law enforcement. However, the identities of those involved have been established, and an investigation is underway.
"According to the citizens' own explanations, the situation was staged and was a hoax," the police noted.
