White House Communications Director Steven Cheung took to social media platform X to address the press reaction to President Donald Trump's statement that Iran could destroy Los Angeles and San Diego. According to him, there is no cause for panic, reports infohub.kz.
"He (Trump — ed.) made clear that US cities would be at risk if a nuclear Iran were not stopped. America is safer thanks to the president. Iran has no nuclear weapons, no navy, no air force, and no money," the White House official wrote.
Earlier, at a rally in Nebraska, US President Donald Trump suggested that two American cities could be destroyed in a conflict with Iran.
This drew criticism from California officials — Governor Gavin Newsom said the American leader is "unhinged and dangerous."
