Wildberries has begun issuing initial payments to sellers affected by the warehouse attacks, according to Tatiana Kim, founder of Wildberries and head of the merged company RWB, as reported by infohub.kz.
Kim said that work on the financial support mechanism for partners started in the days immediately following the attacks, despite the force majeure circumstances.
She noted that payments will first go to the smallest and most vulnerable entrepreneurs. Over 88,000 sellers will receive their first payments on July 22, with funds expected to appear in their accounts within 24 hours.
The RWB head also said that a detailed formula for calculating payments will be published on the seller portal. Additionally, the company is developing a sales simulator for medium and large businesses.
According to Kim, Wildberries plans to apply a similar financial support mechanism in the future should such situations arise at other facilities.
