A massive drone attack struck St. Petersburg and the Tver region on the night of July 24, damaging warehouse complexes including Wildberries facilities, reports infohub.kz.
Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko said 50 drones were shot down over the region. Due to the threat, Pulkovo Airport temporarily restricted operations, halting arrivals and departures.
According to the Telegram channel 'Ostorozhno, Novosti,' the industrial zone 'Utkina Zavod,' where one of the Wildberries warehouses is located, came under attack. Later, the company's press service announced a temporary suspension of operations at logistics complexes in Shushary and Utkina Zavod.
In the drone attack on Wildberries warehouses in the village of Novosaratovka near St. Petersburg, three people were injured. According to Alexander Drozdenko, they are in moderate condition and receiving medical care at a hospital. A fire broke out on the warehouse premises.
An attack also targeted a Wildberries warehouse in Simferopol. 'The company's sorting center in Simferopol was evacuated in accordance with safety requirements,' the company's press service said.
Additionally, a drone struck a warehouse at the Severnaya poultry farm in the village of Sinyavino, Kirovsky district, Leningrad region. Part of the building's structure collapsed, but no injuries were reported.
In recent weeks, Wildberries facilities have repeatedly been targeted by drone attacks in various regions of Russia.
