A forest fire in the Semey Ormany state forest reserve, which had been burning since July 16, was fully extinguished on July 28, reports infohub.kz.
The press service of the Ministry of Ecology said the fire was detected in the Kamyshenskoye forestry district of the reserve. Firefighting efforts involved resources from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Ministry of Defense. “Thanks to the joint and coordinated actions of all services involved, the fire has been completely extinguished,” the ministry said.
The wildfire broke out on July 16 in the Abai region within the Semey Ormany reserve. Ground equipment and aircraft were used to combat the blaze. As a result, 190 children and 20 staff members were evacuated from the DosbolLike camp.
