A court in North Kazakhstan region restored a woman's right to drive after she was stripped of it due to a medical diagnosis, infohub.kz reports.
According to the official Telegram channel of the North Kazakhstan region courts, the Yesil District Court heard a civil case filed by the woman against the police department seeking reinstatement of her driving license. Previously, a court had terminated her driving rights due to medical contraindications.
During the proceedings, it was established that after the prior court decision, the plaintiff underwent necessary medical examinations, was removed from the dispensary registry after recovering, and was medically cleared to drive.
Under Article 75(2)(2) of Kazakhstan's Law on Road Traffic, a driving license can be reinstated by court order if the grounds for its revocation are eliminated. Since the plaintiff had resolved the medical condition and neither the defendant nor the third party objected, the court ruled in her favor.
The court granted the claim, restoring the woman's driving rights. The decision has not yet entered into force.
