A resident of the city of Shu was struck by a train, and doctors are now fighting for her life. The victim has been diagnosed with multiple fractures, according to the website of KTK TV channel, as reported by infohub.kz.
The incident occurred near a station in Shu. Witnesses said the 46-year-old woman was crossing the tracks when a part of a freight train hit her. It is noted that the platform was moving separately from the train.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
The victim sustained multiple fractures and internal injuries. She is currently in the intensive care unit.
“Anti-shock therapy is ongoing. Telemedicine consultations with neurosurgeons and thoracic surgeons are being conducted, and treatment has been coordinated. At the moment, the patient is considered non-transportable,” said Kakhraman Safarov, acting deputy chief physician of the Shu Multidisciplinary Central District Hospital.
