In the Aksu district of the Zhetysu region, a domestic dispute between local traders escalated into a brawl, resulting in one woman being hospitalized. The incident occurred in full view of a police officer, and a video of the altercation was circulated by the Telegram channel "Kriminalny Kazakhstan"... reports the website infohub.kz.
The footage shows one of the women involved approaching another woman lying on the ground and kicking her in the face, while a police officer stands nearby.
According to local residents, the conflict may have been sparked by competition for customers. Tensions rose after some vendors were relocated to a specially equipped market.
As a result of the scuffle, one woman sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The police department of the Zhetysu region stated that a criminal case has been opened on charges of assault. All participants have been identified and taken to the district police station.
According to preliminary information, the suspect and the victim were previously acquainted.
"Currently, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident and to provide a legal assessment of the actions of those involved in the conflict," the regional police department said.
Following the investigation, a procedural decision will be made in accordance with the law.
Earlier, "Kursiv" reported that in the Aktobe region, a 26-year-old man died after a fight at a wedding he attended as a guest. A criminal case has been opened, and the suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
