In the East Kazakhstan region, rescuers came to the aid of a woman who was blown far from the shore on a paddleboard by strong winds. The incident occurred on Lake Shalkar in the Ulan district, reports the website infohub.kz.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the woman, born in 2003, was paddleboarding when the wind suddenly picked up. Finding herself at a considerable distance from the shore, she was unable to return on her own.
Rescuers promptly responded. Upon arriving at the scene, they helped the vacationer safely reach the shore.
"The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: be careful, follow the recommendations of rescuers, and consider weather conditions when planning your leisure. If warnings of adverse weather conditions are issued, refrain from going on the water and other potentially dangerous activities," the rescuers appealed.
Another incident occurred on a body of water in the East Kazakhstan region. In the Ulan district, in the village of Ayrtau, near the Kamenskoye Reservoir, vacationers—a man born in 1997 and a woman born in 1999—were on a boat. Due to a sudden increase in wind, despite their attempts, they could not return to shore on their own.
Rescuers promptly arrived to assist the citizens. Using a watercraft, they brought the man and woman to shore.
