Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) carried out a complex operation to evacuate an injured woman from an altitude of 3,010 meters near Bukreev Peak in the Almaty Region, reports infohub.kz.
According to preliminary data from the MES, the woman fell from a cliff, suffered a head injury, and could not move on her own. A witness provided first aid before rescuers arrived.
The rescue operation involved personnel from the Republican Rescue Service "Barys" of the MES of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Rescue Service of the Almaty Emergency Situations Department. A helicopter from Kazaviaspas JSC was used to evacuate the victim.
After being lifted from the mountainous area, the woman was taken to the Medeu helipad, where she was handed over to a team from the MES Disaster Medicine Center for further medical care.
