In the North Kazakhstan region, two workers were injured at an elevator, one of whom lost an arm. The incident occurred on September 3 in the village of Dubrovnoye, reports the website infohub.kz.

According to the Telegram channel Halyqstan, a 43-year-old man sustained severe leg injuries. When his colleague rushed to help, the mechanism also injured him. Both victims were hospitalized, and their condition is assessed as stable but serious.

The worker born in 1983 suffered open fractures and underwent surgery. His 41-year-old colleague had his right arm amputated.

The press service of the Police Department of the North Kazakhstan region confirmed the incident. The department reported that on September 3, while performing work on an element of grain drying equipment, one worker injured his leg. While trying to assist him, the second worker was also injured. Both were taken to a medical facility.

A criminal case has been initiated on charges of violating occupational safety rules. The circumstances of the incident are being established.
