From July 24 to 27, Almaty will host the WTT Youth Contender Almaty 2026 international ranking tournament. Over four days, young athletes from various countries will compete for medals and World Table Tennis ranking points, with free admission for spectators, according to infohub.kz.

"Almaty is preparing to host the WTT Youth Contender Almaty 2026 international tournament, which will take place from July 24 to 27. The strongest young table tennis players from around the world will take part, competing for medals and valuable ranking points," said the Table Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan.

July 24 marks the start of the competition, with group stage matches in the U13 and U17 categories, as well as the first playoff round matches.

On July 25, spectators can watch quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals in the U13 and U17 categories. Additionally, decisive mixed doubles matches in U15 and U19 will be held, determining the tournament's first winners.

July 26 will see the start of competitions in the U11, U15, and U19 categories, along with mixed doubles finals in U15 and U19.

The final day, July 27, will be the busiest, featuring playoff matches, finals in U11, U15, and U19, as well as an awards ceremony for champions and medalists.

The tournament will be held at the ADD Ustel Tennis Ortalygy sports complex, located at 14B, microdistrict Nurkent. Organizers invite sports fans to support the young athletes, with free entry on all competition days.
