Xiaomi has launched sales of an unusual model, the Skynomad N90 Max Explorer Edition — a family crossover that has been transformed into a two-story camper. The 5.3-meter vehicle now has an official price, according to infohub.kz.
The main feature of the Explorer Edition is an electric pop-up roof. At the push of a button while parked, the upper section rises, increasing interior height to 2294 mm. The second floor provides a sleeping area measuring 2110 × 985 mm, rated for up to 200 kg.
It also has five windows with nets, lighting, two air conditioning vents, USB-C, and accessory mounts. When folded, the roof adds only 100 mm to the vehicle's height.
Inside, the seven seats have been reduced to five. The second row folds into a bed measuring 1.87 × 1.24 m, with heating and ventilation available, as well as floor heating.
The roof mechanism has its own safety systems: it can only be raised when parked away from public roads. Xiaomi also claims 10,000 open-close cycles, an obstacle detection system, and a height warning.
The Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max Explorer is equipped with a 76 kWh battery and a 1.5-liter gasoline generator engine. Electric motors drive the wheels, and the electric-only range reaches 462 km on the CLTC cycle. Total range is 1688 km.
In China, this version costs 300,000 yuan (about 20.3 million tenge). The regular seven-seat N90 Max is cheaper — 270,000 yuan (≈18.2 million tenge).
