Users across Kazakhstan have been hit by widespread outages of Yandex Go services, with taxi bookings and food and goods delivery no longer working. People in various regions of the country are reporting the problems, and many are unable to reach planned engagements. Kursiv correspondents also tested the platform and confirmed that booking a ride or placing a delivery order is currently impossible, according to infohub.kz.

Yandex Go's press service acknowledged the malfunction. According to company representatives, the services are running with errors or may be temporarily unavailable.

"We understand this has affected many people's daily plans, and for drivers and couriers it means they cannot continue working as usual. We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been inconvenienced," Yandex said.

Technical specialists are already working to restore the platform, but no exact timeline for resuming taxi and delivery services has been given yet.

Users are linking the disruptions to a drone attack on Yandex infrastructure in Russia. The company stressed that Kazakhstan citizens' personal data is stored, in accordance with the law, on servers located in Kazakhstan and under a jurisdiction that ensures its proper protection. At the same time, the services rely on a distributed computing infrastructure.

"Individual technological components may be located on servers in different countries. Therefore, technical malfunctions in one component can affect the availability of services in several countries," Yandex said.

It is worth noting that over the past few days Ukrainian drones have attacked major Yandex data centers in various regions of Russia several times. On October 11, a data center in Vladimir shut down completely. The company is assessing the damage and recommends that users rely on alternative recovery plans. Earlier, a fire broke out at a data center in Ryazan Oblast after an attack, and several modules failed in Kaluga Oblast, leading to service disruptions.
