In the Almaty Region, the search for 17-year-old Yasmine Shertaeva has been ongoing for nearly two months. She left home at night while the rest of her family was asleep, and her whereabouts remain unknown, reports infohub.kz.

According to the teenager's mother, her daughter may have been preparing to leave in advance. Before disappearing, she allegedly saved up money, bought a new phone, and changed her number.

For almost two months, Yasmine Shertaeva's mother has been beside herself. She keeps her phone in her hand, hoping her daughter will finally call. The family lives in the village of Dolan. It was from there that the girl left at night while everyone was asleep. She took a bag with clothes and her savings.

"It turns out my daughter called a former classmate from an anonymous number. She said she was fine and claimed to be living with some women. She didn't say where she was staying," says her mother, Gulnara Shertaeva.

The woman says Yasmine graduated from 11th grade and worked as a seamstress for a neighbor. It later emerged that the girl received 170,000, bought a phone, and changed her number, but did not tell her parents about the salary or the purchase at the time.

"She told me she wanted to buy a phone. I happened to have an acquaintance selling smartphones. Yasmine bought one. The girl worked diligently. She enjoyed sewing clothes. I paid her 1,000 tenge per hour. There were no unnecessary conversations," said neighbor Moldir Kumarkhan.

The family has six children. Yasmine is the eldest daughter. The mother insists there were no conflicts at home. She does not rule out that the girl may have been frightened when neighbors decided to introduce her to a young man.

"They wanted to introduce Yasmine to a guy. We found out about it later. Our daughter was against it. Sweetheart, forgive us if we hurt you. Maybe you are tired. I beg you, come home," says her mother, Gulnara Shertaeva.

By the way, the parents filed a statement with the police. Currently, law enforcement officers and volunteers are searching for Yasmine.

"Bulletins with her description and necessary information have been sent to all units of the department, as well as to other police departments. Volunteers have also been involved in the search efforts," states the official representative of the Almaty Region Police Department, Yernar Saidildin.

Relatives insist that Yasmine had never left home without warning. The mother asks anyone who has seen anything or knows where the girl is to contact the police.
