Kazakh actor and mixed martial arts fighter Yerkebulan Toktar secured a knockout victory over an Uzbek opponent at the IBA Nomad tournament held in Astana. This bout marked the athlete's third in professional boxing, reports infohub.kz.
Toktar's opponent in the up to 76.2 kg weight category was Uzbek fighter Bobirjon Isroilov, known by the nickname "Ispanchik". The fight was scheduled for four rounds but ended early in the third.
In the first minute of the bout, Toktar sent his opponent to the canvas twice with knockdowns, but in the second round Isroilov managed to respond in kind. In the third round, the Kazakh regained control and shook his opponent twice, and after the fifth knockdown, the referee stopped the fight, declaring a technical knockout.
Thus, Yerkebulan Toktar secured his third victory in professional boxing without a single loss. Additionally, he holds the BMF belt in the Octagon league and competes in bare-knuckle boxing. His opponent Bobirjon Isroilov, who had two wins in professional boxing, a world champion title in Muay Thai, and experience in MMA, suffered his first defeat.
