Yerzhan Toktagulov, who previously served as director of a department within the same ministry, has been appointed Vice Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, according to infohub.kz.
By a government decree, Yerzhan Dauletovich Toktagulov was confirmed as Vice Minister of Culture and Information. He was born in 1992 in the Zhambyl region. He graduated from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan, and the International Transport and Humanitarian University. He is a member of the presidential youth personnel reserve.
Toktagulov's career began in 2015: from 2015 to 2018 he worked as a chief specialist and expert at the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan. In 2018–2019, he was a chief expert at the Control Department in the Field of Communications of the Telecommunications Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Kazakhstan. In 2019, he was Director of the Center for Reimbursement of Exporters' Costs at the Kazakhstan Institute for Industry Development.
In 2019–2020, he served as acting head of the Media Control Department of the Information Committee of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan. From 2020 to 2021, he was Head of the Labor Inspection Department of the Kostanay Region Akimat – Chief State Labor Inspector for Kostanay Region. In 2021–2024, he headed the Interregional Communications Inspectorate of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.
Since March 2024 until his appointment, he worked as Director of the Digital Transformation and Project Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan.
