By a government decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Yerboluly Yertayev has been appointed Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This is reported by infohub.kz.
According to the government's press service, Yerzhan Yertayev was born in 1985 in Pavlodar Region. He graduated from the Innovative Eurasian University and the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
He began his career in 2009 as an electrical mechanic in a private company. From 2009 to 2013, he worked as a leading specialist and chief specialist in the energy department of the Energy and Housing and Utilities Management of Pavlodar Region.
In 2013–2014, he held positions as chief expert and head of the department of the Committee for State Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies.
From 2015 to 2018, he headed the territorial departments for Akmola and Karaganda Regions of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2018 to 2020, he served as deputy chairman of the Committee of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2020–2021, he headed the Energy and Housing and Utilities Management of Pavlodar Region.
From 2021 to 2022, he served as head of the office of the chairman of the board of Samruk-Energy.
In 2022–2023, he worked as general director of Ekibastuz GRES-1 named after Bulat Nurzhanov, a limited liability partnership.
From 2023 to 2024, he was deputy chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy.
From July 2024 to the present, he has held the position of chairman of the Committee for State Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
