American engineer Nathan Thomas has officially been recognized by Guinness World Records as the youngest male professor in history. He began teaching a programming course for aspiring engineers at Miami Dade College in Florida at the age of 18, according to infohub.kz.

With this achievement, Thomas surpassed the record held by Scottish mathematician Colin Maclaurin since 1717. The prodigy's academic journey began at age 10 with a dual enrollment program. At 14, he transferred to Florida International University, and by 18, he had earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering with honors. He then returned to his first college to lecture students, most of whom were his peers.

According to Nathan Thomas, age doesn't matter in a classroom where everyone is focused on learning. He is grateful to the college for the opportunity to share his knowledge. Now 21, he teaches online while pursuing a law degree at the University of Miami.
