Russian actor Yura Borisov is set to be submitted for the Academy Awards once again — this time for his role in the film 'Artificial Intelligence,' according to infohub.kz.
As reported by NUR.KZ, citing Variety, the film company Neon intends to submit Yura Borisov for an Oscar in the Best Actor category. In Luca Guadagnino's film 'Artificial Intelligence,' he played Ilya Sutskever, co-founder and former chief scientist of OpenAI.
In addition, Andrew Garfield, who portrayed OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, will be submitted for Best Supporting Actor. Mark Rylance is also being put forward in the same category for his role as AI researcher Geoffrey Hinton.
Monica Barbaro, who played former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, may contend for Best Supporting Actress.
The company plans to submit the film in all categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and the acting categories. Simon Rich's screenplay will be submitted for Best Original Screenplay.
Recall that in 2025, Yura Borisov was already nominated for an Oscar for his role in the film 'Anora.'
