Renowned journalist and video blogger Yury Dud has surprised his audience by launching a separate channel entirely dedicated to travel, called 'vDud Tour'. The first video on the new platform is a 23-minute piece about Kazakhstan, reports infohub.kz.
The Kazakhstan feature was assembled from archival footage featuring 'Irina Kairatovna' and blogger Ruslan Usachev. Dud himself admitted that he cannot currently visit the country.
"Unfortunately, I can't come there right now, but many of our viewers can use it as a guide," the blogger explained while introducing the episode.
The video recreates the atmosphere of traveling through various corners of Kazakhstan. The author tries traditional beshbarmak in a rural area and shares his impressions of the local dairy delicacy kurt. In the west of the country, in Aktau, Dud also samples fresh camel shubat.
The camera captured unusual architectural designs, the shell beach of the Caspian Sea, and endless steppe landscapes reminiscent of post-apocalyptic film sets. In the video, Dud compares the picturesque views of Kolsai Lakes and Kaindy to Switzerland and Canada.
The episode also touches on local slang, the flavor of Pavlodar as the birthplace of famous musicians (such as Skriptonite and Imanbek), and complex historical and environmental topics, including the aftermath of nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk test site.
The video description notes that although the material was filmed in 2021, the beauty of Kazakhstan's landscapes remains unchanged.
In the first 24 hours, the video garnered over 32,000 views and received a warm response from users, especially from Kazakhstan. In the comments, viewers note the sincerity of the format and share memories.
"I was here before five-hour shorts!", "It's so nice that the first video is about our Kazakhstan", "In Kazakhstan, the main attraction is the people. My homeland, my home, my people. I love endlessly", "Finally, travel blogger Yura has started a dedicated channel!", users write.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Russia had begun the procedure of seizing property from journalist and blogger Yury Dud for the state. According to the Telegram channel Shot, Dud's apartment in Yuzhnoye Butovo (a remote residential area of Moscow — editor's note) was the first to be restricted.
