Dynamo Moscow head coach Sandro Schwarz has commented on the fitness of Kazakh midfielder Bakhtiyar Zainutdinov, reports infohub.kz citing the club's official website.
The all-time top scorer for the Kazakhstan national team joined the Russian club last summer from Turkish side Besiktas. He played his last match in October, after which he was recovering from an injury. In the final match of last season in May, Zainutdinov returned to Dynamo's squad but did not take the field.
"At the start of preseason, he trained with the team, but then health problems that he had experienced before arose. We believe he will overcome them and return to the field," Schwarz said.
Details on the condition of the 28-year-old player have not been disclosed. He previously had tendon and muscle issues.
Schwarz took over Dynamo this summer, replacing Russian specialist Roland Gusev. The Moscow side will play its first official match under the German coach on July 25 at home against Krylya Sovetov Samara.
