Chinese automaker Zeekr is preparing an update of its electric crossover 7X for the domestic market. The 2027 model year will feature an 85 kWh battery, which will slot between the current 75 kWh and 103 kWh options. The new version is expected to go on sale in late 2026, according to infohub.kz.
The new Aegis Golden Brick battery with LFP cells has been developed by Geely. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the range and charging speed of the 85 kWh version. For comparison, the base Zeekr 7X with a 75 kWh battery travels up to 620 km on the CLTC cycle, while the version with a 103 kWh battery reaches up to 802 km.
According to CarNewsChina, the current 75 kWh battery allows charging from 10% to 80% in 10.5 minutes. For the updated version, this figure is not yet known.
The 7X will retain two drive options. The rear-wheel-drive version produces 370 kW (496 hp), while the all-wheel-drive version delivers 585 kW (784 hp).
In the domestic market, the Zeekr 7X is offered at prices ranging from 230,000 yuan (approximately 15.6 million tenge) to 270,000 yuan (18.3 million tenge). Prices for the new 85 kWh version have not yet been announced.
In Kazakhstan, the first mid-size electric crossover from the Geely Holding Group sub-brand was officially presented in September 2025. Currently, the model is available in three trim levels priced from 20.6 to 27 million tenge. The base version is equipped with a 75 kWh battery, while the Long Range and top-end Performance AWD come with a 100 kWh battery.
In China, for the current 7X, three options are temporarily available at no extra cost: electric rear seat adjustment, built-in refrigerator, and 20-inch wheels. Their combined value is 19,000 yuan, or about 1.29 million tenge.
The Zeekr 7X has been in production since 2024. The electric vehicle has five seats, a length of 4825 mm, and a wheelbase of 2925 mm. During this time, over 136,000 units have been sold in China.
Earlier, a Zeekr 7X caught fire at a charging station in Ningbo, China. Kursiv Avto also reported that Zeekr will bring two hybrids to Kazakhstan by the end of the year.
