Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed readiness to compromise with Russia on a number of sensitive issues, according to infohub.kz.
Speaking to journalists, the Ukrainian leader specified areas where concessions are possible. "Grain, energy - these are painful issues for Ukraine and Russia. And they are painful for the whole world: for India today, for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Asia, and many countries. We are ready to find a compromise," Zelensky stressed.
He also noted that any potential agreements must take into account the actions of both sides. Ukraine has already made a significant number of compromises and should not remain the only side continuing to make steps forward, he said.
Thus, Zelensky linked further progress on these issues not only to Kyiv's willingness to seek solutions but also to the need for corresponding actions from Russia. The president also underscored the international significance of energy and grain problems, as they affect the interests of several regions and states.
It will be recalled that over the past weekend, US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Moscow, where they held talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on resolving the conflict in Ukraine. They then met with Volodymyr Zelensky. After that, Witkoff spoke about possible negotiations involving Zelensky, Putin, and Trump.
Today, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the war between Russia and Ukraine could soon end.
