Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to a congratulatory message from Qasym-Jomart Toqaev on the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence by publishing the Kazakh leader's letter on social media platform X and expressing gratitude for the warm words, reports infohub.kz.
The Ukrainian leader wished peace for Kazakhstan and noted that Ukraine highly values friendly relations with Kazakhstan, based on mutual respect, understanding, and long-standing ties between the peoples. He also stated his intention to further strengthen cooperation.
In his response, Zelensky wished Toqaev success and the people of Kazakhstan peace, well-being, and prosperity.
Earlier, Toqaev sent a congratulatory telegram to Zelensky on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that the countries are bound by traditional friendship and mutual understanding, and confirmed readiness to continue strengthening relations. The letter stated: "Kazakhstan and Ukraine maintain mutually beneficial relations based on traditional friendship and mutual understanding. We are ready to continue efforts to strengthen our friendly ties in the spirit of mutual respect."
