The Ukrainian delegation will travel to the United States on October 9 for meetings with US President Donald Trump's special envoys, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. This was announced by Volodymyr Zelensky, according to infohub.kz.
According to the Ukrainian leader, on October 9 and 10 the delegation will hold talks with Donald Trump's special representatives on a new plan to end the conflict with Russia.
The Ukrainian negotiating team will include the head of the Presidential Office, Kyrylo Budanov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Serhiy Kyslytsia, the head of the Servant of the People faction in parliament, David Arakhamia, and the head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, Rustem Umerov.
Zelensky noted that the meetings will take place over two consecutive days. He also added that the European side may join the talks.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio commented on Ukraine's desire to join NATO and described the state of efforts to settle the conflict with Russia. After that, Donald Trump, speaking in Maryland, said the conflict in Ukraine would soon end.
