Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has outlined the issues he believes should not be on the table ahead of likely trilateral talks. He made the remarks in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channel 1+1, according to infohub.kz.

According to the Ukrainian leader, it is crucial for Kyiv that the parties discuss the possibility of holding a new summit at the level of heads of state in November. Zelensky stressed that the territorial issue can be resolved exclusively by the leaders of the countries, while limiting the size of the armed forces and Ukraine's neutral status should not be discussed at all.

"Our security guarantees are our security guarantees. They cannot be dictated by the Russian side," he said.

Furthermore, Ukraine does not agree with the option of exchanging territories proposed by the American side. Separately, Zelensky warned partners against prematurely lifting sanctions on Russia before trilateral talks involving the leaders of Ukraine, the United States, and the Russian Federation.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that the conflict in Ukraine would soon end.

During talks in Oslo on October 21, Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned a possible trilateral meeting of the leaders of the US, Russia, and Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin also stated Russia's readiness to return to trilateral talks on Ukraine. According to him, the parties should discuss security issues after peace agreements. Soon after, the Kremlin announced trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the US.
