Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that special representatives of US leader Donald Trump are resuming talks aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine, reports infohub.kz.

In his Telegram channel, Zelensky noted that American diplomats will visit Ukraine and Russia in the coming days. According to him, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will arrive in Moscow on Saturday, and then in Kyiv on Sunday.

“We are preparing for the visit. A meeting was held with our broad diplomatic team – in particular, with those who work with the United States. And, as during previous diplomatic visits by the American side, we will ensure the normal functioning of Russian airspace so that negotiators can arrive safely. We care about them, not about Russia. There will be no airstrikes from our side, and Russia must do the same, ensuring no airstrikes from its side for the time needed to conduct these negotiations and resolve logistical issues related to this American visit,” Zelensky promised.

He stressed that he intends to make the visit and negotiations with the American side as constructive and substantive as possible. “We need to find real options for how to bring this war closer to an end. Let's see what proposals Steve and Jared put forward and what they are told in Moscow,” the Ukrainian leader concluded.
