Zenit St. Petersburg defeated Baltika Kaliningrad 3-2 away in the ninth round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) at Rostec Arena, according to infohub.kz.

For the winners, Russian forwards Maksim Glushenkov (9th minute) and Aleksandr Sobolev (16th) scored, along with Brazilian winger Luiz Henrique (49th).

For the hosts, Salvadoran striker Brayan Gil (22nd minute) and Russian midfielder Ilya Petrov (81st) found the net.

Kazakhstan national team defender Nuraly Alip started on the bench but came on as a substitute in the 67th minute. During his time on the pitch, he did not contribute to scoring, contested five duels, and completed 11 passes, seven of which were accurate.

Zenit secured their second consecutive victory, accumulated 18 points, and moved up to third place. However, they could drop lower depending on other results in the round.

Baltika extended their winless streak in the RPL to three matches. With 11 points, the Kaliningrad side sits eighth in the table.
