In the Zhambyl region, a Volvo truck driver was sentenced to three days of administrative arrest and lost his license for a year due to a piece of paper on his license plate. The paper was stuck on as a joke by his wife's younger brother, and the driver claimed he did not notice it. The man was stopped by police on the "Western China - Western Europe" highway in the Zhualy district. During the inspection, they noticed that part of the license plate was covered by a small piece of paper, making the letter 'E' visually appear as 'F'. The police issued an administrative protocol against the driver.

In court, the man admitted his guilt. He explained that he did not stick the paper himself and did not notice it on the plate. According to him, it was done as a joke by his wife's younger brother.

"By the court's decision, A. was found guilty under Part 4 of Article 590 of the Administrative Code, and was sentenced to three days of administrative arrest with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for one year," the court of the Zhambyl region reported.
