A 62-year-old man in Kazakhstan's Zhambyl Region has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention for violating a protection order after repeatedly showing up at his former partner's home, starting conflicts and using physical force, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to NUR.KZ, citing the regional prosecutor's office, four reports of domestic conflicts at a single address in Zhambyl District have been registered since the start of this year.
"It was established that over several years the 62-year-old man repeatedly came to the home of his former partner, started conflicts, threatened family members and used physical force against the woman, who has disabilities," the regional prosecutor's office said.
The man had previously been held administratively liable and had a protection order issued against him. Despite this, he violated its requirements again.
Following the prosecutor's office's work, the violation was given a legal assessment. By a ruling of the district court dated August 4, 2026, the man was found guilty under Article 461 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses and sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest.
