A video showing the brutal beating of a child has spread on social media. According to the caption of the published footage, the incident occurred in the Zhambyl Region, and the suspect is a teacher from the Kordai District, reports infohub.kz.
The video caption states: "A Kordai teacher brutally beat a child and then publicly apologized to the victim's parents."
The teacher himself explained that the incident happened about a year ago. He attributed his actions to a loss of emotional control. According to him, he admitted his wrongdoing at the time and apologized to the teenager's mother. Now the man has publicly asked the schoolchild's family for forgiveness.
The Police Department of the Zhambyl Region told a NUR.KZ correspondent that a criminal case has been opened into the improper performance of duties related to the upbringing of a minor.
The suspect has been detained. Currently, the life and health of the minor are not in danger.
"Necessary investigative actions are being carried out to establish the circumstances of the case comprehensively, fully, and objectively. Based on their results, an appropriate procedural decision will be made," the department noted.
