In Turkistan region, a woman brutally beat her husband with a rolling pin during a domestic dispute, nearly blinding him. Video of the incident spread on social media, and police opened a criminal case, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Telegram channel "Criminal Kazakhstan", the victim called the police, but said no one responded to the call. He was later taken to a hospital, where he filed a statement. Relatives of the victim said similar incidents had occurred before and demanded that the woman be held accountable.

The Turkistan region police department said that after the video appeared online, an investigation was conducted. "It was preliminarily established that the conflict was domestic in nature. The victim stated that the parties had reconciled, that he had no complaints, and refused to undergo an examination," the press service noted. Despite this, a protective order was issued against the woman, and she was given a preventive talk about the inadmissibility of domestic violence.

In addition, police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 108-1 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan, "Intentional infliction of minor harm to health". "All necessary measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances. Based on the results of the investigation, an appropriate decision will be made," police emphasized.

The department added that no further information is disclosed in the interests of the investigation, in accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Kazakhstan.
